Two Old-Timers

Last Sunday we got an old friend out of the shed, introduced her to our other old friend, and then took a short trip to the nearby lake.  We have not had the chance to use the canoe in five years and it was nice to get her out for a bit.  I need to work on tie-down system though and get the ropes off the paint, but it’s a good fit otherwise, I think.

Canoe (1)

Somewhere there is an identical picture of the canoe and Big Blue. I should probably hunt that down.

Canoe (2)

So many paddlers!

Canoe (3)

The canoe is a ceder/canvas canoe, made some time between 1890 and 1907 by the White Canoe Company, Maine.
